Preschool Program Site Supervisor (Part-time), East Los Angeles
Oversee the daily operation of Alma Family Services Preschool Center. Will be responsible for developing, modifying, and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, developing age-appropriate curriculum and supervision of childcare staff. Qualifications: BA Degree in Child Development and holds a Child Development Site Supervisor permit under the Child Development Matrix. Must be familiar with Community Care Licensing requirements. Previous supervisory experience in a childcare program required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Program Coordinator/School-Based (Fulltime)
Will work with the School Based Clinical staff, coordinate efforts and support each regarding their individual areas of expertise and responsibility. Also responsible for overseeing the operation of existing school-based MH programs, participating in the implementation of programs in development, and guiding the coordination and development of future school-based programs. Qualification: Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field; LCSW or LMFT or license-eligible. Previous program development/management and supervisory experience preferred. Two years experience with school-based mental health services. Previous experience supervising clinical service delivery staff and interns preferred. Ability to assess and prioritize completing job demands, work on several projects simultaneously, and complete deadline-driven projects with different time-lines.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Provider , East Los Angeles (Full-time)
Work as a part of the treatment team to develop individual treatment plans for assigned children and their families. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Work with children and families to address individual goals and engage their participation in the treatment plan. Develop and maintain professional relationships with county employees, public school staff, and regulatory/oversight staff, etc. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field, or minimum 3 years relevant experience. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Effective written and oral communication skills. Able to work evening and/or weekend hours when necessary.
Child and Family Specialist (Fulltime), Wraparound Services, Commerce
Provide oversight of clients from program admission in collaboration with the parents; develop individualized service plans based on assessment reports provided. Assess needs and services that will assist in the delivery of service and advocacy. Manage community and family crises and evaluate parent/child/family progress and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field. Experience with Wraparound services and/or SED youth in community-based settings and/or MHRS experience with the mental health, child welfare and/or juvenile probation systems. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Able to work evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
Fund Development/Events Coordinator
Will be responsible for fostering and cultivating fundraising efforts for the organization and for researching, identifying, managing and writing proposals to support program services offered by the agency. Will also be responsible for coordinating and/or participating in community functions and fundraising events to further the mission and vision of ALMA Family Services. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years fundraising experience. Demonstrated knowledge in the area of grant opportunity searches and knowledge of federal, state, and other grant programs. Requires excellent judgment and integrity. Previous experience in events coordination required.
Program Instructor (On-Call), East Los Angeles
Support in an administrative capacity of client case, assistance in the duties associated with the administrative operation of the after school program, and executing program activities in a teaching capacity as developed by the lead program instructor which meet the goals and objectives of the Program. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or at least two years college equivalent in Child Development or a related field. Two years experience working with children in a licensed child care center, comparable group child care program, or accredited school. Knowledge in CCLD Title XXII law associated with the operation of child centers. Bilingual in Spanish and ability to read and write fluently. Current First Aid and Community CPR certification (8hrs) and Child Care: California approved Child Care Provider Course (7 Hrs); Total of 15 hrs.
Aquatics Instructor/Lifeguard (On Call), East Los Angeles
Responsible for assisting aquatic staff with implementing a high quality recreational program for individuals with or without disabilities through a variety of structured aquatic classes. Ensuring the safety of facility participants by preventing and responding to emergencies. Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED). Two (2) years of professional experience in a public pool setting. Experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred but not required. Certifications: • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training • American Red Cross First Aid • American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer • American Red Cross Preventing Disease Transmission • American Red Cross Automated External Defibrillation (AED) • American Red Cross Title 22 • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor • Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program Instructor Certification (can be obtained during the first three months of employment)
